My passion and alignment with the ancient art of Belly Dance is deeply rooted through my families Persian cultural background. In my early teens, I spent most of the time studying and coaching Traditional, Modern, and Cabaret Style Belly Dance at The Broadway Dance Center in New York City. In 2001, I was recruited by Amira Mor to join her International Entertainment Co., where I danced alongside Her, and the acclaimed belly dance troupe for 4 years. During that time, we performed countless events for celebrities at notable venues including The Humane Society with special guests Moby and Alicia Silverstone, The Queens Theatre in the Park for singer Ishtar (aka. Alabina), and New York's Radio City Music Hall, where we performed for The Beatles drummer, Ringo Starr. We made several belly dance instructional DVDs, such as Belly Dance Your Way to Fitness. Since then, I've continued expanding my personal practice and studied with dynamic Tribal Dancers such as Rachel Brice and Zoe Jakes.
In 2006, I started teaching my unique and divers style independently that celebrates the various styles I've trained in. I love sharing the empowering joy of sound and movement with humble goddesses of all ages, sizes, genders, and spirit animals. I've enjoyed leading hundreds of belly dance classes throughout the Tri-State Area at studios including Fred Astaire, JCC, and YMCA, and perform for private events upon demand such as opening artist for Berkley School's, Annual Fashion Show in 2012 and Equinox Fitness Club's Annual Holiday Party.
Craving a warmer habitat, I moved to Austin, TX in 2018 and continue sharing my gypsy-dragon style of dance around the world. I'm currently available for events, dance classes and private lessons upon request.
